John Mar Palacios

John Mar Palacios, age 60, of Lansing, formerly of Olivet passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He was born January 30, 1957 in Eaton Rapids the son of Refugio and Petra (Ledesma) Palacios. John was a talented handyman and enjoyed helping others around the community with his many skills. He worked for many years at the Olivet Public Schools and Eaton Intermediate School District, where he worked as a custodian. In his free time, he could often be found running, fishing, or hunting. John is survived by his children: Justino (Grace) Palacios, Ryan Palacios, Alissia Palacios, Mateo Palacios; grandchildren: Dante and Tywyn Skief; siblings: Maria Hernandez, Max Palacios, Frank (Sharon) Palacios, Patty (Dale) Fryover. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Palacios; parents; siblings: Mar, Ray, George, Art, and Tony Palacios. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 1 PM at the Olivet Congregational Church with Rev. Jack Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 1 PM on Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions in Johns memory to the family.
