Joy Jean (Dowding) Mulvany Age 93 of Charlotte, formerly of Olivet passed away peacefully at her home on November 28, 2014. She was born February 16, 1921 in Calhoun County to Roy and Emmogene (Butler) Dowding. She graduated from Marshall High School and received her degree from Cincinnati Business College. She retired as a legal secretary for the Calhoun County Friend of the Court. She was involved in scouting as a den mother, a room mother, several Church groups and loved playing bridge and was an avid bowler. She is survived by her sons, Don (Lisa) Mulvany of Vermontville and Joe (Deb) Mulvany of Montrose. She is also survived by grandchildren, Casey (Kim) Mulvany, Jason Mulvany, Jeremy (Tracy) Mulvany, Becky (Terry) Filice, Jennifer Mulvany, Elizabeth (Scott) Underwood and Patrick Mulvany along with 7 great grandchildren, sister, Dorotha Cox and brother, Richard (Dottie) Dowding. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Mulvany, sisters, Alma and Charlotte, brothers, Jack and Robert. The family invites you to join them in Celebrating Joy’s life at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home located at 206 W. Lawrence Ave, Charlotte, MI preceded by ½ hour of visitation. Graveside ceremony immediately following her memorial at the Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue, Michigan.
