Kimberly Kaye Kayanek, lovingly known as Kim, Mama Kong, and Short Gaga, to her grandsons, passed away on March 27, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan. Born on July 3, 1962, in Pennsylvania, she filled her years with devotion, love, and hard work, leaving an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to know her.

Kim embraced life with a hardworking spirit and an unparalleled loyalty to those she loved. She dedicated herself to a fulfilling career as a Mary Kay Sales Director, inspiring many with her passion and dedication to her work. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with kindness and affection, where she found joy not only in her career but in the warmth of her family and friends.

Kim had an extraordinary capacity for love. She loved her husband, Larry, and was especially devoted to her daughter, Ashley, and son-in-law, Jacob Dornbos. The light of her life shone even brighter through her grandsons, Oliver, Rowen, and George Dornbos, who brought her endless joy and pride. Family gatherings were filled with laughter and stories, as Kim cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Kim found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She relished a good cup of coffee, particularly with Nestle Original Creamer, and looked forward to her cherished daily phone calls with her daughter, a ritual that kept their bond strong even through life's busiest moments. Her love for her dogs was also evident, enriching her life with companionship and joy.

Kim leaves behind her husband, Larry, her beloved daughter, Ashley and her husband Jacob Dornbos, along with her grandsons, Oliver, Rowen, and George.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Rose Marie Conrad.

A celebration of Kim's life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 12 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
