Kyle Randale Kutskill

Kyle Randale Kutskill, 32, passed away in Coalinga, CA on January 12, 2021. Kyle was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. Kyle is survived by: his parents Randy and Sue, his brother Kris (Katie), his Grandma Rose, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kyle grew up in Sterling Heights, Michigan on “Alderdale” where his neighbors became part of his family. Throughout his life he had a strong passion for football, baseball, golf, skiing, music, and more recently hiking. He and his family enjoyed camping and skiing during vacations around the state of Michigan. While playing on his high school football team, he and his teammates went to the Michigan High School State Finals in his junior year. After Kyle graduated from Stevenson High School, he earned bachelor’s degrees in Psychology from Michigan State University and in Music Therapy from Eastern Michigan University. He was proud of the work he did over the last two and a half years as a Music Therapist in California. Music and playing the guitar was a huge part of his life. Unfortunately during Covid, he had not been able to play music with his patients or with friends like he really enjoyed. Kyle was incredibly generous and kind to the people in his life. We will always remember him for his smile, his creativity, his unique voice, his fiercely independent spirit, his love for his friends and family, and his love of the family cottage at Higgins Lake, MI. We pray that he is now free to play music whenever he wants and to sing his favorite songs at the top of his lungs. Peace & Love beautiful Kyle! A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church located at 31555 Hoover Road, Warren, MI 48093. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at the church just prior to the Mass. Those attending will be required to wear a face covering and observe social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in Kyle's memory to: Giving Songs- a site is where Kyle and a friend from EMU recorded the song “What About Love” for a charity that helps families with disabled children in Southeastern Michigan.
