Larry Grayson Ballard

Larry Grayson Ballard, of Olivet, age 74, a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte. Larry was born May 14, 1942 the son of Grayson and Margaret (Milbourn) Ballard and had been a life resident of the Olivet area. He was a 1960 Graduate of Olivet High and attended Olivet College from where he received his B. A. Degree. He was a retired Quality control employee of Air Way Mfg. Co. in Olivet, was a member of the Eaton County Historical Society, the Courthouse Square Association and a past member of the Bellevue Conservation Club. Surviving are: his daughter, Jennifer (Andrew) Fry of Battle Creek; his son, Ben Graves of Olivet; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Carol Ballard (Jean Proseus) and June (Bruce) Benson of Perry; 2 nieces, Tracy Hill and Stacey Aragon; 1 nephew, Scott Tinney; 4 great nieces and 1 great nephew and special family friends, Joe & Joyce Hoffdahl and Dennis & Caroline Nelson. In keeping with Larry’s prior request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Larry’s life will take place from 2-4 PM Saturday, JULY 9, 2016 at the Walton Township Hall, 6933 S. Stine Rd., Olivet, MI. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Eaton County Humane Society or to the Eaton Community Palliative Care.
