Larry R. Bazzett

Larry R. Bazzett, age 69 of Charlotte, MI, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at the Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte with his loving family at his side. Larry was born May 4, 1943 in Ashland Township of Newaygo County the son of Paul and Barbara (Plotts) Bazzett and had been a Charlotte resident since 1990 coming from Newaygo. He had served in the U. S. Navy for 20 years from where he retired on Jan. 1, 1990. He and his wife were currently Managers of Kiwanis Manor for the past 22 years. He was a member of the V. F. W. in Newaygo and was a member of the Charlotte Kiwanis Club. He was a strong supporter of the Charlotte Relay for Life. Surviving are: his wife, Rosalie (Smith) Bazzett; children, Terry (Steve) Homan, Ron (Tina) Bazzett, Bruce (Jeaneen) Bazzett, David Bazzett, Kimberly (Mark) Burrows, Amy Jo (Leah) Betts, Rob (Jen) Betts and Jeff (June) Fisk; Numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Len (Gloria) Bazzett and Jim (Delores) Bazzett; 3 sisters, Paula Trumbley, Marsha Humphrey and Bonnie (Gary) Huizen; Sister-in-law, Joy Mogg; Special niece, Deb (Doug) Hall and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. At Larry’s request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor John Bailey officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 P.M. prior to the Memorial Service at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to the family, Eaton Community Palliative Care, Kiwanis Manor or to Relay For Life Of Charlotte.
