Lena Peterson

Lena (Young) Peterson of Charlotte, Michigan, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Lena was born January 19, 1925 in Bonnyman, Kentucky the daughter of Harlan and Julia (Patrick) Young and had been a Charlotte resident for about 65 years. She was a devoted Christian and loved her Gospel Assembly Church. She had been employed at the Aluminum Extrusions in Charlotte from where she retired after 35 years of service. Surviving are: her children, Carol (Ronney) Fox, Carl Raymond (Betty) Peterson and Judy (William) Bryan; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and 1 on the way; siblings, Margaret Ewing, Claude Young, Jim (Sue) Young, Loretta Staley, Virginia (Melvin) Gosnell and Harlan (Sharon) Young, Jr. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Howard R. Peterson; brothers, Carl, Cline and Clyde Young and her grandson, Ronney Fox. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Richard Workman officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
