Leo Joseph Ryan

Leo Joseph Ryan, age 79, of Charlotte passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. He was born August 9, 1938 in Lexington, MA the son of Thomas and Rose Elizabeth (Callahan) Ryan. Leo proudly served his country in the US Air Force for 9 years. He retired from General Motors in Lansing after many years of service. Leo enjoyed golfing, bowling, and raising horses. He was especially fond of his most recent work at the Medalist Golf Club in Marshall where he worked as a greens keeper. Leo is survived by his wife, Linda; children: Regina (Mike) Hoskins, Debbie Bentley, John Ryan; step children: Adam Akhavan, Heidi (Dan) Dykstra; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, William. Per Leos wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Those desiring may make contributions in Leo's memory to the Lansing City Rescue Mission or the American Cancer Society.
