Lois Naomi Mcdonald

Lois Naomi (Martin) McDonald, age 79 of Charlotte, formerly of Potterville, died Sunday January 10, 2010. Lois was born March 20, 1930 in Owosso, MI the youngest of 9 children born to George and Lillian (Parker) Martin. Lois attended Owosso schools moving to Lansing during her senior year. She started her career in photo finishing which lasted her entire working career, retiring from the Photo-Mart. She met and married Arnold McDonald on June 15, 1951. To this union four children were born: Marty (Susan), Gregory (Diane), Rick (fiancé Barbara) and Lynda (Steven) Lumbert. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Michael & Sara McDonald, Stacie Lumbert, Andrew & Margaret McDonald; one sister, Doris Shoup and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Nov. 16, 1996, granddaughter, Courtney Lumbert July 14, 1989 and eight brothers and sisters. Mom loved to play gin, cribbage and bingo her entire life, but more so after retiring. She loved her family and always enjoyed her chocolates and a good cup of coffee and cigarette. She will be missed. We love you Mom “Sparky” & Grandma. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Rebecca Morrison officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to the Siren/Eaton Shelter, P. O.
