Loretta Mae Wells, age 76, of Potterville, passed away peacefully Monday, June 24, 2019, at her home. She was born August 29, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Lawrence and Mildred (Crawford) Hudson. Loretta spent most of her growing up years in Reynolds, White County, Indiana. She graduated from Reynolds High School in 1960. Loretta then went on to receive her Bachelors Degree from Marion College and her Masters in Education from Ball State University. She loved her career and cherished the many relationships she made while teaching. Loretta spent the majority of her career teaching at Smith Elementary School in Fowlerville. Loretta adored her family. She was proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In her free time, she loved reading. Through many health struggles in recent years, Loretta maintained a positive attitude. Because of her faith in Christ, she was able to always look on the bright side of every situation. Loretta is survived by her children: Daniel (Jennifer) Wells of Webberville, Janette (Chris) Teesdale of Kalamazoo, Stephanie (Aaron Clark-Inman) Wells of Potterville; grandchildren: Aaron Wells, Hannah Wells, Megan (Mike) Moore, Spencer Moore, Brandon Andrews, Sabrina Andrews; great grandchildren: Liam Moore, Emerson Moore; siblings: Charles (Linda) Hudson of Tipton, IN, Beverly Hudson of Tipton, IN, Randall (Teresa) Hudson of Tipton, IN, Ron (Dixie) Hudson of Sarasota, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Shirleen Hudson. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019, at 2 P.M. at the Family Life Wesleyan Church, 3720 Rowley Rd., Williamston, MI 48895.
