Louise A. (Johnson) George age 72 of Gun Lake, Middleville, MI, formerly of Roscommon, Grand Ledge and Charlotte, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 at the Pennock Hospital in Hastings after a long illness. Louise was born July 13, 1937 in Battle Creek the daughter of John and Ada (Gage) Johnson. She had lived at the Gun Lake address for about 3 years, prior to that had been a resident of Roscommon for 35 years and prior to that had lived in Grand Ledge and Charlotte. She was a 1955 Graduate of Charlotte High School where she was a member of the Band having played the Saxaphone. She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother and a former member of the Grand Ledge Jaycee Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, camping, making crafts, chair caning, cooking and most of all enjoyed being with her family. Surviving are: her husband of 53 years, Thomas J. George; children, Mark (Pamela) George of East Lansing, Michael (Betsy) George of Albany, WI and Ragene (Ronald) Catrell of Overland Park, KS; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and her sister, Carolyn (Duane) Carey of Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Robin Crouch officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 P. M.
