Lucille O. Wendt

Lucille O. (Moon) Wendt of Marshall, MI, formerly of Bellevue and Olivet, age 88, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the Marshall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness. Lucy was born April 13, 1926 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of Noble and Gertrude (Hagerty) Carpenter. She had also lived in Florida and North Carolina before returning to Michigan. She is survived by her son, Thomas (Kathleen) Moon of Bellevue and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Kenneth Moon and Roland F. Wendt and her daughter, Sharon Lou Baldridge. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A casual celebration of Lucy’s life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 1-5 PM at the Olivet Congregational Church Downstairs Fellowship Hall. Memorial contributions may go to the Oaklawn Hospice, 122 High St., Marshall, MI 49068. Inurnment will be next to her husband, Roland Wendt in the Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
