Lyle William Carter

Lyle W. Carter of Charlotte, MI, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, September 06, 2016 at the Island City Assisted Living in Eaton Rapids after a lengthy illness. Lyle was born July 8, 1930 in Brookfield Township of Eaton County the son of Guy and Pearl (Doane) Carter and had lived most of his life in Eaton County. He was a retired employee of A. E./Hoover in Charlotte. Surviving are: two daughters, Tessa (Ned) Stoltzfus of Charlotte and Tammy (Vic) Ralosky of Florida; six grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and brother-in-law, Lyle Jeffery. He was preceded in death by: his son, Kyle W. Carter; his wife of 45 years, Judy G. (Farquhar) Carter; siblings, Merwin Carter, Donald Carter, Raymond Carter, Ivery Carter, Marie Nunheimer, Maxine Carnes, Mable Cortright and Florence Jeffery. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Timothy Olson officiating. Visitation will be held also on Friday from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon prior to the Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
