Mamie E. Keehne

Mamie E. Keehne Charlotte, Michigan Age 96, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Keehne was born July 10, 1915 at her parents farm on Hammond Rd., Garfield Twp., Traverse City, MI to Earl and Nellie (Hammond) Wells. Mamie was a stay at home Mom, who along with her husband, John, owned and operated the former Keehne’s Body Shop in Charlotte. She was a volunteer at the Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital Gift Shop and was a member of the First Congregational Church of Charlotte. She is survived by: her Sons, Bob (Sue) Keehne of Shelby, MI and Bill (Debbie) Keehne of Duck Lake; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Keehne, son, Jack Keehne, daughter, Karen Green, brother, Norm Wells and sisters, Lillian Champion and Jessie Willson. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Philip Hobson officiating. Interment in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
