Marguerite A. Keeny

Marguerite A. (Hubert) Keeny, age 99, of Charlotte, MI died Sunday, June 30, 2013 in Lansing. Mrs. Keeny was born March 11, 1914 in Redford Township, Michigan the daughter of Marcus E. and Lillie Belle (Norris) Hubert and had lived most of her life in Charlotte. She was a 1932 Graduate of Charlotte High School and was currently the oldest and longest time member of the First Baptist Church of Charlotte. She had been employed many years ago at the former Wilcox-Gay Company of Charlotte. Surviving are: her children, Connie (Pete) Carpenter of Charlotte, Philip (Nancy) Keeny of Canton, GA and Janet (Darrell) Schultz of Charlotte; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years, Harold L. Keeny, son, Kevin Keeny, grandson, Skippy Stiver and 11 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Robin Crouch of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Bosworth Cemetery, Olivet. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to the Eaton Community Palliative Care of Charlotte or to the Charlotte Fire Department Christmas Kiddies Fund.
