Martin Andrew Masterson

Martin A. Masterson, age 62, of DeWitt, began the next stage of his life journey Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in Lansing. Marty was born on December 17, 1955, in Detroit, the son of Gordon and Doris (Rudnicki) Masterson. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. His wit, compassion and presence will be greatly missed by all. Marty is survived by his loving wife, Laura; son, Jason (Liz) Masterson; son-in-law, Jeremy Leonard; father, Gordon; siblings: Terry (Bill) Herston, Julie (Joey) DAmato, Sally (Darrell) Snow, John Masterson, Ed (Erika) Masterson, Patty (Brad Westergren) Masterson; and several nieces and nephews. He was greeted in heaven by his mother, Doris; son, Daniel; and daughter, Valerie Leonard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 11 A.M. at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St., DeWitt with Rev. Fr. Robert Irish celebrating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the church and one hour prior to Mass on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions in Martys honor to the family.
