Mary K. (Gorman) Merrill

Mary K. (Gorman) Merrill, age 87 of Grand Ledge, Mich., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at the Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte. Mrs. Merrill was born April 1, 1925 near Grand Ledge in Eaton County the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Herbert Gorman and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a Graduate of Potterville High School and had been employed by the Potterville School System as a cook with over 30 years of service. Surviving are: her son, James Merrill, Jr. of Grand Ledge; her daughter, Julie Ann Perkins of Cheboygan, MI; 7 grandchildren, Douglas Merrill, Joseph Merrill, Lee Nevins, Reese Nevins, Robert Nevins, Russell Nevins and Samantha Peariso; 10 great grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, James J. Merrill; daughter, Jeanne Kay Nevins; son-in-law, Earl J. Perkins; grandson, Joshua Nevins and brother, Bob Gorman. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Dallas McFarland officiating. Interment will be in the Benton Township Cemetery at Potterville. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 P. M. Friday at the Funeral Home.
