Mary Louise Scott

Mary Louise (Rochester) Scott of Kentwood, MI, formerly of Charlotte, MI, age 84 died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. Mary Louise was born Jan. 4, 1928 in Charlotte, MI the daughter of Wayne and Flossie (Fast) Rochester. She was a 1946 Graduate of Charlotte High School. During World War Two had been employed by the Charlotte Post Office delivering telegrams relative to War Casualties, later had been employed at the Charlotte Republican-Tribune newspaper, the Eaton County Clerk’s Office and at the Eaton County Medical Care Facility. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and antiquing. She was preceded in death by: her parents; 2 brothers, Donald and Forest Rochester and her husband, Herman Scott. Surviving are: 3 sons, David (Cynthia) Kettner of Mesa, AZ, Steven (Linda) Kettner of Senoia, GA and Mark (Susan) Kettner of Jackson, MI; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. At Mrs. Scott’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral services. Memorial contributions may go to the Charity of One’s Choice.
