Michael J. Lansing

Michael James Lansing, age 71, of Charlotte passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing with his family by his side. He was born September 30, 1946, in Detroit the son of Jesse and Clella (Laverty) Lansing. Mike graduated from Charlotte High School with the Class of 1964. He then went on to serve 2 tours of duty in Vietnam with the US Army. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army he enrolled at Ferris State University and obtained his Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Mike retired after over 30 years of service from Dan Henry Distributing in Lansing, where he worked as an accountant. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling. Mike also enjoyed manufacturing his own golf clubs. He is survived by his wife 37 years, Judy; children: Kymberlee (Ebe) Behnia of Maryland, Melissa (Butch) Bittle of Iowa, Christopher Waier of DeWitt; 9 grandchilderen; brother, Dave Lansing of Mason; sister, Marcie Brown of Eaton Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents. In keeping with Mikes wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
