Michael Jerry Borst

Michael J. Borst of Potterville, MI, age 73 died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014 at the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing. Michael was born May 23, 1941 in Lansing, MI the son of Thomas M. and Florence (Kesson) Borst and had lived most of his life in the Mid-Michigan area. He had served both in the U. S. Army and Navy, was a former Lions Club member, was a member of the Moose Lodge, had been active in Boy Scouts and was a former member of the Charlotte Country Club. He was a retired employee of the Triquet Paper Company of Lansing. Surviving are: his wife of 50 years, Katheleen (Oakley) Borst; Son, Michael Wayne Borst of Potterville; Daughter, Annette Joy Borst of Azle, TX; 2 grandchildren, Angel Nicole Cooper of Prundale, CA and Jason Jay Burnes of San Francisco, CA; 2 sisters, Evelyn Symonds of Nashville, MI and Phyllis Ritter of Grand Ledge, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Borst and three brothers. (2 infant brothers and brother, Thomas Walter Borst). According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing, Michigan.
