Mikayla Rae Malcuit

Mikayla R. Malcuit of Charlotte, MI, age 72 passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at the Eaton Community Palliative Care. Mikayla was born April 24, 1942 in Belding, MI the daughter of Carl R. and Florence (Bussell) Henry and was a lifelong Charlotte resident. She was a 1960 Graduate of Charlotte High School, had been a member of the Charlotte Country Club and had been employed in the Medical Records Department at Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital from where she retired after 21 years of service. Surviving are: her husband of almost 54 years, Bruce P. Malcuit; four children, Beth Malcuit of Charlotte, Amy (Richard) Phifer of Allendale, MI, Barb (Frank, Jr.) Silvas of Charlotte and Charles (Joanna) Malcuit of Flowery Branch, GA; Grandchildren, Travis (Carli) Silvas, Ryan (Vanessa) Silvas, Brendon (Sarah) Rankin, Rachel Rankin, Ian Phifer, Jacob Malcuit, Bailey Silvas and Trey Phifer; six great grandchildren; Sister, Judy (Charles) O’Brien of Whitehall, MI; Sister-in-law, Justine (Raymond) Snyder of Charlotte; several nieces and nephews and her special friends, “The Pubbies.” She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Blake Rankin. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 from 1-5 PM at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte.
