Morris "Buster" Edgerly of Charlotte, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters on September 15, 2022, at the age of 80. Buster was born in Lakeview, Michigan, on April 14, 1942, to Hugh and Gladys (Fairbrother) Edgerly. Despite complications and additional health issues, he battled cancer for the last two years with courage and strength until the end. Buster was a retiree of Fisher Body as well as a farmer. He enjoyed mowing his lawn and taking care of his farm. He also enjoyed serving others by mowing their lawns, plowing driveways, and keeping busy doing small odd jobs. Buster enjoyed spending time at the Moose Lodge #2565 in Charlotte and had many friends there. He was also a member of the Eagles Aerie #3552 and the American Legion in Charlotte. He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard.
Buster enjoyed hunting deer, elk, and bear. He loved riding his motorcycle with Karen, and traveling to many states and National Parks. He loved animals, and was especially fond of horses. Buster loved watching his daughters show their horses with the local 4-H club. Family meant everything to Buster. He lived life to its fullest fulfilling the words, "Life's short, eat dessert first."
Buster is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen Edgerly; his daughters, Denise (Brian) Quaderer of St Johns, and Dawn (Mike) Coval of Bryon Center. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Mikayla Quaderer, Lauren Quaderer, Breanna Coval, Adam Coval and Cassidy Coval. Buster also has two surviving sisters; Marie Knapp of Reed City and Donna Bailey of Charlotte. He also had many nieces and nephews that he enjoyed visiting with.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Jenson officiating. Visitation will be just prior to the funeral from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
