Myrtle Mae Riggs

Myrtle M. (Collins) Riggs of Okemos, MI, formerly of Potterville, MI and Clearwater, FL, age 96, went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 19, 2017. Those preceding her in death were: two daughters, Mary Gullett and Marcella Carney; 1 granddaughter, 2 grandsons, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Myrtle was born June 23, 1920 in Ashley, MI to Eben & Carilean (Smith) Spinney. Myrtle leaves to cherish her memory; 3 sons, Roy Collins, Jr. (Susan), Walter Collins and Lawrence Collins all of Florida; 1 daughter, Harriette Finney of Williamston, MI; 23 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Steven Massey officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
