Norma Jean Tomlinson

Norma J. Tomlinson of Charlotte, MI, age 77, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at her residence with her family at her side. Norma was born Feb. 8, 1936 in Eaton Rapids Township the daughter of Samuel and Lela (Harmon) Elston and had been an Eaton County resident most of her life. She was a retired employee of General Motors in Lansing and was a member of the Eaton Area Senior Center. Surviving are: four children, Ann (Wendell) Wheaton of Grandville, Teresa (Gerald) Hoag of Lyons, Joyce Werner of Nashville and Roger (Elizabeth) Tomlinson of Kentwood; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Carol) Elston of Potterville and sister, Virginia (Roy) Brooks of Polk City, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Guy L. Tomlinson in 1976. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel in Charlotte followed by a Luncheon at Mrs. Tomlinson’s residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to the Eaton Community Palliative Care or the Eaton Area Senior Center.
