Patricia Ann Buttrick

Patricia Ann Buttrick, age 86, of Olivet passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. She was born July 7, 1930 in Alma, Michigan the daughter of Lawrence and Bernice (Whitcomb) Church. Pat moved to Olivet in 1969 and has resided there ever since. She began teaching English at Olivet High School in 1972 and retired after 23 wonderful years. Pat cherished the many relationships that were formed throughout her years of teaching. She was a member of the Olivet Congregational Church, Olivet Bridge Club, Olivet Book Club, and Olivet College Woman’s Board. Pat loved to travel. She was fortunate to have the opportunity to travel all over the world and relished the many different cultures she was able to experience. Pat is survived by her son, Scott (Pam) Buttrick of West Branch; daughter-in-law, Sarah Buttrick of Gaylord; grandchildren: Heather Agnello, Jennifer Kazmar, Robert (Mina) Buttrick, Hilary Buttrick, Stephanie Buttrick USN; 4 great grandchildren and 1 one the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben; sons: Robert Buttrick, Kirk Buttrick, and Tom Buttrick; and half sister Jean Dimond. Funeral services for Pat will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1 P.M. at the Olivet Congregational Church, 125 College St., Olivet. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Interment will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Marshall.
