Paula Therese Spagnuolo

Paula Therese Spagnuolo, age 87, of Lansing, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on Monday, October 28, 2024. She was born August 19, 1937, in East Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Paul William and Theresa Rose (DeRose) Spagnuolo. Paula grew up in Lansing and graduated from St. Mary High School. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Joseph University in Ohio. She was a Sister of Charity (Mount St. Joseph, Cincinnati, Ohio) retired who spent most of her career in education. She loved working with young people and strived to instill them with integrity and knowledge. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, sculpting, wood carving, and working in her garden.

Paula is survived by her siblings: Charlie (Virginia) Spagnuolo of Holt, Anita (Ron) Palmer of Okemos, Kathy (Jerry) Jackson of DeWitt, Jim (Sue) Spagnuolo of Grand Ledge, Loretta (Bob) Blackburn of Lansing, Roseanne (Tom) Sherwood of Mason; sister-in-law, Marian Kay Spagnuolo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ted Spagnuolo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at St. Martha Parish, 1100 W. Grand River Ave., Okemos, MI 48864 with Rev. Fr. Ryan Riley celebrating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass at church. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
