Phyllis R. Cole

Phyllis R. (Canfield) Cole of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, formerly of Olivet, Michigan, age 93 passed away on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Mrs. Cole was born November 22, 1919 in Toledo, Ohio the daughter of Homer and Ruth (Bushnell) Canfield. She was a Graduate of Charlotte High School and Olivet College and was a life member of the Order Of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cole (former Eaton County Treasurer) in 1999 and daughter, Christine Thick in 1983. She is survived by three sons: Jerry Cole of Eaton Rapids; Jeff Cole of Fort Lauderdale and James Cole of Montague; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte followed by a procession to the Olivet Cemetery for a 2:00 PM Graveside service with Rev. Jack Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to the charity of one’s choice.
