Ralph C. Miller

Ralph C. Miller Charlotte, MI Age 86 died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. Ralph was born July 6, 1925 in Kansas City, MO the son of Ralph C. and Dorothy (White) Miller, Sr. and had been a Charlotte resident since 1950. He had served in the U. S. Army during World War Two, was a retired Vice-President for Michigan National Bank of Charlotte and was previously employed at Fowlers Inc. of Charlotte. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he was a member of the Men’s Club, had served as an usher, was a Lay Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He served on the Charlotte City Council for 25 years and also the City Planning Commission. He was a member of the Hayes Green Beach Hospital Auxiliary and was an avid photographer. Surviving are: 5 children, Mark (Kathy) Miller of Indianapolis, IN, Jeffrey Miller of Edwardsburg, MI, AnnMarie (Mark) Anderson of Bloomington, MN, Susan Miller of Battle Creek and Greg Miller of Lawrence, MI; 10 grandchildren, Capt. Michael (Kim) Miller, Audrey Miller, Capt. Erica Miller, Trista Kay Miller, Michelle Miller, Molly Miller, Rebecca (Ron) Moore, Tony Miller, Gregory Anderson and Krista Anderson. 4 great grandchildren, Micaela Gillam, Mara Songer, Nicholas Miller and Emma Moore and 1 sister, Frances Lee Schattenberg. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores (Rasmussen) Miller in 2002 and sister, Roberta Roth. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Charlotte with Father Francis Mossholder officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Friday with the Rosary being prayed at 8:00 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home of Charlotte. Visitation also on Saturday from 10:00 A. M. until time of the Funeral Mass at the Church.
