Ralph W. Woodbury, age 93, of Olivet passed away Monday, November 16, 2020, at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing. He was born February 21, 1927, in Monroe, Michigan the son of Charles and Iva (Duty) Woodbury. On February 26, 1947, he married Marcella M. Shank. Ralph was a true outdoorsman and lived an adventurous life. He hunted elk in Colorado and bear in Canada. He anticipated the yearly salmon run and could often be found fishing alongside the Manistee river. Ralph was a handy man in the fullest sense of the word. He built each house he lived in from the ground up with own hands. He was known for his dedication to Scouting. He was a Scout Master and spent a lot of time in the north woods. Ralph is survived by his children: Vicki (Denny) LaPoint of Olivet, Bill (Judy) Woodbury of Wellston, Michael Woodbury of Olivet, Cindy McLeod of Parchment, Peggy (Scott) Roop of Olivet; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several great great-grandchildren; sister: Carol Woodbury of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Marcella; his parents; siblings: Howard, Clarence, Charles, June; and his great grandson, Cameron Simon. In keeping with Ralph’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Those desiring, may make contributions to Siren Eaton Shelter, 520 Robinson Street, Charlotte, Michigan 48813.
