Richard Bowers

Richard Frederick Bowers, age 88, of Charlotte, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Mission Point Nursing Center in Belding MI. Richard was born November 27, 1935, in Battle Creek, the son of William R. and Phyllis (Barnes) Bowers. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and member of South Church in Lansing.

Richard is survived by his son, Paul L. Bowers of Charlotte; daughter, Catherine Wakley of Hastings; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Marlene of nearly 60 years; son, David A. Bowers; grandson, Robbie Bowers; sisters, Patricia L. Bowers, Judith M. Lehmoine and Sandra K Barnes.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at South Church, 5250 Cornerstone Dr, Lansing, MI, at 11:00 AM.

Family will receive friends and visitors for one hour prior to the service.
