Richard Joe Thompson

Richard Joe Thompson, age 68, of Charlotte, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. He was born July 25, 1955, in Hastings, the son of Willis and Donna (Harvey) Thompson. Richard was a man of many talents and enjoyed working at several different occupations throughout his life. He enjoyed hunting, spending time outdoors, and playing poker. He was a cowboy at heart and personified the western way of life.
Richard is survived by his children, Jamie (Jennifer) Boyd of Sebring, Florida, Tim (Lyndsey) Thompson of Potterville, Patrick (Heather) Thompson of Charlotte; 10 grandchildren; siblings, William Thompson of Charlotte, Penny (Robert) Jacox of Texas, Victoria Duncan of Texas, Judy (Dick) Marten of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steven Thompson.
In keeping with Richard’s wishes cremation has taken place.
