Rita Marie Washburn

Rita Marie Washburn, age 64, of Potterville, was called to Heaven on Monday, November 26, 2018, at her home in Potterville, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 7, 1954, in Alpena, the 3rd daughter of William and Donna Belle Putkamer. Rita graduated from Alpena High School and then went on to attend Alpena Community College. In her free time, Rita enjoyed walking, baking, and spending time together with her family. Ritas infectious smile, kind generous heart, and unwavering integrity will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her soulmate of 20 years, Pat; children: Amy (Eric) Shiemke of Farmington, MI, Michelle Bieniasz of Rochester, MI, Kasey (Keith) Laferty of Mount Washington, KY, Scott (Melissa) Harrison of Clawson, Peyton (Carleen) Washburn of Las Vegas, NV, Patrick (Lynnette) Washburn of Mentor, OH; grandchildren: Brittany, Tanis, Nicholas, Jared, Hali, Ian, Olivia, Lilyanne, Lukas, Ethan, Harson, Abigail, Josephine, Gwendolyn, Ryan; 3 great grandchildren; siblings: Dale (Judy) Putkamer of Alpena, John (Joette) Putkamer of Alpena, Carol Putkamer of Alpena. Rita was preceded in death by her parents and sister Sandra Disler. In keeping with Ritas wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Those desiring, may make contributions in Ritas memory to Sparrow Hospice.
