Robert Basil Brown

Robert Basil Brown, age 77, of Bellevue, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his home. He was born February 5, 1940, in Lansing the son of Basil G. and Claribel L. (Schuchaskie) Brown. On November 1, 1974 he married the love of his life Catherine Ray Summers in Orlando, Florida. Bob owned and operated Brown Builders in Charlotte for over 35 years. He was a talented carpenter and took great pride in his work. He always made sure that when a job was completed, it was done right. Working with his hands outdoors brought him great joy. Bob was proud of his family. He loved spending time together with them. He also enjoyed fishing, reading his Bible, attending church, and history. Bob is survived by his wife, Catherine; sons: Andrew (Kathy) Brown of Potterville, Corbin Brown of Galesburg; granddaughter, Emmalee Brown; and sister, Linda (Robert) Duffie of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 1 PM at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home, Charlotte. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
