Robert D. Myers

Robert D. Myers age 83 of Olivet, MI, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at Tendercare of Marshall. Robert was born Oct. 17, 1926 in Olivet, the son of Dale and Irene (Day) Myers and was a lifelong Olivet resident. He was a Graduate of Olivet High School, had served in the U. S. Army during World War Two, served as a Cub Scout Cubmaster and had been employed at Post Cereals in Battle Creek from where he retired in 1985. Surviving are: three sons, Gordon (Tess) Myers of Glendale, AZ, Glen (Lynne) Myers of Olivet and Gary (Deborah) Myers of South Haven, MI; 8 grandchildren, Edward, Chadwick & Jordan Myers, Jason & Justin Myers, Phillip Hebenstreit, Kristy Huber and Kari Hebenstreit; 9 great grandchildren; special friend & caregiver, Amber Leigh Smith and sister, Lois Maurer of Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Thelma L. (Brendahl) Myers on Oct. 10, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Jack Brown officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-5 P. M. and Monday from 1:00 P. M. until service time.
