Robert G. Jewett

Robert G. Jewett, Sr. of Charlotte, Michigan September 9, 2015 saw the passing of a very good man. At least he tried to be. He was 80 years old on his passing. He was a farmer, a grave digger, a school teacher, a carpet installer, a scout leader and a business owner. He was also a pretty fair athlete. An accomplishment not easy but very rewarding to him. It made him proud. His wife, Irene of 40 years watched over him and kept him pretty much on the straight and narrow. Their children, Rob, Greg, Shelley and Kelly and their spouses added six grandchildren, 2 boys and 4 girls to the mix. Then along came two great grandsons. He never could imagine being here long enough for great grand children! He wishes to thank all his family and friends for the enjoyable ride he had – and don’t forget to GO GREEN! Visitation will be held from 1-3 & 6-8 PM Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte. Please feel free to dress casual and wear your GREEN & WHITE. At Bob’s request, a private family graveside service will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date.
