Roger Gates

Roger Alan Gates, age 76, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 28, 2020. He was born September 25, 1944, in Charlotte the son of Robert and Catherine (Storr) Gates. Roger graduated from Charlotte High School. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return from the war, he went on to attend Lansing Community College. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching sports on the TV. Roger also had a great sense of humor and was always kidding those around him. Roger is survived by his nephews: Michael Gates of Charlotte, David Gates of Owosso; great niece, Faith Gates of Owosso; great nephews: Dylon Gates of Charlotte and Corey Gates of Owosso. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, James E. Gates in 1982. In keeping with Roger’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
