Roger O. Davidson

Roger O. Davidson age 45 of Newberry, MI, formerly of Charlotte, MI, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 at Newberry. Roger was born June 9, 1965 in Charlotte, the son of Maynard and Betty (Tomlin) Davidson and had been a Newberry resident for 15 years. He was a 1983 Graduate of Charlotte High School and attended Mid-Mich. Community College at Harrison. He was currently employed as a Millright for the Louisiana-Pacific Corp. of Newberry and had been a Volunteer Fireman for the McMilan Fire Dept. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, outdoor activities and was involved in Antique Snow Mobile racing. He especially enjoyed time spent with his son. Surviving are: his son, Jacob Davidson of Newberry; his mother, Betty Jean Davidson of Charlotte; two brothers, Steve (Donna) Davidson of Charlotte and Allen (Wendy) Davidson of Kewadin and two nieces, Dawn (Ryan) Sevenski and Julie (Kris) Somers. He was preceded in death by his father, Maynard Davidson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor John Bailey officiating. A reception will be held immediately following services at the Gresham United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 6-9 P.M. Thursday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may go to a fund for Roger’s son Jacob.
