Roger R Day

Roger R. Day, Sr. age 67 of Olivet, Michigan. Roger was born July 21, 1945 and passed away Dec. 3, 2012 around 2:30 A. M. after a lengthy stay at Magnum Care (Tender Care) of Albion. He was a long time resident of the Olivet area. Roger is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Sheila (Wolf) Day; 3 children, Karla (Steve) Weers, Roger (Katrina) Day and Regina (Tim) Hopkins; 6 grandchildren, Richard Travis and Stephanie Weers, Chance Day, Devin, Jennifer and Benjamin Hopkins and 1 brother, Buddy (Sandy) Day. Roger had worked at Masterbilt Products where he rose to shop foreman. His interests included, early on, hunting and fishing, while later on he enjoyed John Wayne movies. Roger sang like Elvis Presley which impressed his wife. Roger also would entertain many with his impersonation of Donald Duck. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Irene (Talmage) Day and sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Tom Shafe. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P. M. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Jack Brown officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 P.
