Ronald D. Bowser of Olivet, Michigan, age 79, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 2, 2015. Ron was born January 12, 1937 in Charlotte the son of Kenneth and Hildred (Stevens) Bowser. He lived most of his life in the Charlotte area except while in the U. S. Navy and when employment took him to Illinois and Kansas. He was a 1955 Graduate of Charlotte High School and had served for 4 years in the U. S. Navy with part of his service aboard an Aircraft carrier. He was a retired Systems Analyst for Quaker Oats Co. in Kankakee, IL and Topeka, KS. Since retirement, Ron has been a valued Assistant at Burkhead-Green Funeral Home. He was a member of the Senior Golf League at Alwyn Downs Golf Course, was currently serving on the Walton Township Board of Review, was a former member and past President of the Charlotte Jaycees and had been a member of the Maple City Bowling League in Charlotte. Surviving are: his wife of 59 years, Virginia “Ginny” (Shaw) Bowser; daughters, Rhonda (Jamal) Mubarakeh of East Lansing and Janice (Dave) Parker of Marlton, NJ; daughter-in-law, Judy Bowser of Novi, MI; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Sandra (John) Rollins of Marshall and Cheryl Franks of Olivet and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Daniel A. Bowser in Dec. of 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Charles Jenson officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Bosworth Cemetery, Olivet.
