Ronald Lee Hanes

Ronald Lee Hanes, of Charlotte, passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2019. He was born May 8, 1962, in Fremont the son of Ronnald and Fern (Mumper) Hanes. Ron grew up in Muskegon before moving to East Lansing to attend Michigan State University. This is where he met his wife, Linda Lee Doty. They were married May 23, 1987. Ron graduated from MSU in 1987, with a Bachelors Degree in Communications. He then went on to work in sales for much of his adult life. As a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Ron proudly volunteered with his church in many capacities. He was also a talented musician and had a great sense of humor. Ron was a huge MSU Spartans and Detroit Tigers fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at the Lansing Lugnuts Baseball games or just being around the campfire. Ron leaves behind his wife, Linda (Doty) Hanes; four children: Randa Hanes, Rion (Sandra) Hanes, Amanda Hanes, Kristina Hanes; sisters: Susan Hanes and Diane (Bill) Raad. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward Hanes; his grandparents; many aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 8, 2019, from 2 P.M. 4 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home, 206 W. Lawrence Ave., Charlotte, MI. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 11 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5301 Holt Road, Holt, MI. Those desiring, may make contributions in Rons memory to the family.
