Rosalie Adeline (Gearig) Litwiller was born to Albert and Beatrice (Perdew) Gearig on February 18, 1929 at home near Ithaca, Gratiot County Michigan. She peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of Oct. 15, 2017 at her home in Middleton, Michigan reaching the age of 88 years. She enjoyed her childhood at home with her sister on the family farm. She answered the call of God in the winter of 1941 together with her parents and was baptized a year later on Feb. 17, 1942 by Min. Reuben Koehn. To these vows she remained faithful until the end. On March 2, 1947 she was united in marriage to Ardis Litwiller at Ithaca, Michigan by Min. Frank Haynes during a severe snow storm. Their 70th anniversary celebration was special to them. She enjoyed life to the fullest. Her children and grandchildren were special to her. Her home was her castle, she loved cooking and baking and she willingly shared it with others. She spent many hours tending garden and her flowers. Another highlight of her life was the year she and dad spent in the Ukraine under Gospel Tract. She and dad went on many trips to see their children and grandchildren out of state. Although her health was in decline they still managed to take an extended trip to Arizona, Idaho and California to see family in the last years time. In June when her health took a downward spiral she lost interest in the things of this world and she expressed a desire to go to Heaven. A number of times before her passing she told us that she was ready to go. Left to cherish fond memories are her loving husband, Ardis, 3 sons, Raymond and Gladys of Buhl, ID, Ron and Carol of Perrinton, MI, Kendell of Ithaca, MI. and 4 daughters Carol and Paul Schultz, Gaila and Van Litwiller of Ithaca, MI., Bonnetta and Abe Loewen of Glenn, CA., and Phyllis and Jon Schmidt of Middleton, MI, 27 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, her sister, 1 daughter in law, parents-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law.
