Rose Ann Jones

Rose Ann Jones, age 70, of Holt passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, with her family by her side at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. She was born December 12, 1946, in Mt. Pleasant the daughter of Earnest L. and Dorothy I. (Awery) Youngs. On June 20, 1964, she married Jerrold L. Jones. Rose Ann graduated in 1965, with the first graduating class from Waverly High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Rose Ann enjoyed her many trips to the casino and was an avid Euchre player who saw to it that all of her family knew how to play. Rose Ann retired from the Department of Treasury with the State of Michigan after 25 years of service. She is survived by her husband, Jerrold; daughter, Lisa (Michael) Kern; daughter-in-law, Jolene Jones; grandchildren: Tabitha Jones, Joshua (Allison) Jones, Katie Mather, Kristi (Mike) Flores, Cody Worden; five great grandchildren; siblings: Helen (Jim) Lyons, Sharon Mohre, Ken (Karen) Youngs, Keith (Kris) Youngs; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rose Ann was preceded in death by her parents and son, Todd Jones in 2016. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017, at 12 PM at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home, Charlotte. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason.
