Rowena Sophia Mom Moon

Rowena S. “Mom” Moon age 85 of Charlotte, MI, formerly of Olivet, MI, died Monday, December 02, 2013 at her residence with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Moon was born February 3, 1928 in Bedford Township of Calhoun County the daughter of LaVern Wesley and Bessie (Salyer) Yoey and had been a resident of Charlotte for 33 years coming from Olivet. She was a retired cook having been employed at Olivet College. Surviving are: two daughters, Deborah (Robert Montagna) Holmgren and Robin Moon both of Charlotte. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members and many friends. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Milton Charles Moon; son, Douglas Moon; sister, Iola Mastin and brother, LaWayne Yoey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home of Charlotte with Rev. Charles Jenson officiating. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue.
