Russell Perkins

Russell Perkins age 76 of Lansing, MI, formerly of Eaton Rapids, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 at the Hospice House of Mid Michigan. Russell was born July 9, 1934 in Eaton Rapids, MI the son of Earl and Nancy Perkins. He was raised in Coldwater, had been a member of the Boy Scouts as a young boy and still believed in Santa Claus. He enjoyed playing Bingo at the Lett’s Center and enjoyed playing his Harmonica and Guitar. He had worked for Peckham Industries until retirement in 2009 then attended Transitions North in Lansing. There is no immediate family but he had many friends at the Pleasant View AFC Home where he had been a resident since 2003. A Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Rick Stacey of the Meridian Christian Church officiating. There will be visitation for one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte.
