Shana M. Sampson

Shana Marie Sampson, age 32, of Olivet, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. She was born August 15, 1987, in Marshall the daughter of Rocky and Nancy (Johns) Sampson. Shana graduated from Olivet High School with the class of 2005. She then went on to receive her CNA training at Kellogg Community College. Shana left an imprint on every person she knew. She enjoyed basketball, football, racing, reading, kayaking, and all things outdoors. All these events were made even more special when they included her three sons. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Shana is survived by her sons: Noah Young, age 15, Kohen Young, age 13, and their father, Mark Young; Kasen Hundt-Sampson, age 8, and his father Jake (Ashley) Adams; parents, Rocky and Nancy Sampson; brothers: Michael Sampson of Olivet, Randy Sampson of Olivet, Jeffrey Sampson of Olivet; nephew, Karsyn Sampson; sister, Rochelle (Cameron) Napier of Charlotte; niece, Ayreis (Levii) Napier-Sleight; special friends: Shelby (James) Rodebaugh of Olivet, Dani (Scott) McIntyre of Charlotte, Emily Goodrich of Iron Mountain; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Earl and Donna Sampson and Eldon and Dorothy Johns. A private funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020, at 11 A.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Lee Center Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions in Shanas honor to the family to help with expenses.
