Shane Mark Bailey, age 55, of Springport, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021. He was born May 29, 1966, in Long Beach, California, the son of James and Nancy (Newman) Bailey. Shane graduated from high school in 1986 in Deary, Idaho. He went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Navy and then the Army National Guard from which he retired after many years of service. Shane was an outdoorsman in the truest sense of the word. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He had a passion for guns and took part in many different shooting sports. Shane also enjoyed traveling and would always seek out the newest craft brewery along the road to visit. He had a bigger than life personality and was always the life of the party. Shane could always take a bad situation and turn it around for good. He was wise beyond his years and provided his family with much needed comfort and stability. Shane’s love for his family took precedence over all else. He had a deep love and devotion for his wife, children, and grandchildren. Shane is survived by his wife, Cara; children: Amanda (Bradley Jennings) Love of Springport, Corey (Autumn) Freeman of Springport, Curtis (Erinn) Freeman of Eaton Rapids, Christine (John) Hackworth of Onondaga; 16 grandchildren; mother, Nancy (David) Stadtler of Mora, MN; siblings: Andy (Lora) McGibbon, Mark Ruffner, Robert Bailey, Trisa (TJ) Hanson, Tara Aho, Kari (Matt) Kobb; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Bailey. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 11 A.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Jenson officiating.
