Sharon A. Roiter

Sharon A. (Powers) Roiter of Charlotte, Michigan, age 76, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Sparrow Hospital after a short illness. Sharon was born August 11. 1941 in Charlotte the daughter of Robert N. and Florence E. (King) Powers and had lived most of her life in Brookfield Township except for a short time in Charlotte. She was a 1959 Graduate of Olivet High School and was currently Brookfield Township Clerk a position she had held since 1982. She was a member of the Brookfield United Methodist Church and served on the Rural Fire Association Board from Brookfield Township. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and especially enjoyed attending the sporting events that her grandsons participated in. Surviving are: her children, Douglas (Tammy McKay) Roiter, Dan (Ann) Roiter and Annette (Doug McKillop) Andrews; grandsons, Cody Roiter, Zachary Roiter, Tyler Andrews, Jake Andrews and Devin Roiter; great grandson, Noah; her Mother, Florence (King) Powers; Brother, Larry (Cindi) Powers and nephews, Derek (Chasity) Powers and Vaughn (Lindy) Powers. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Earl J. Roiter, her father, Robert N. Powers and her brother, Gary Powers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017 from 6-8 PM and on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 from 10 AM until 12 Noon at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home in Charlotte. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the Perry Cemetery in Brookfield Township. Memorial contributions may go to the Charity of Ones Choice.
