Shirley Ann Gearhart

Shirley A. Gearhart, age 76, of Charlotte, MI died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at the Eaton Community Palliative Care. Shirley was born Oct. 30, 1938 in Lansing the daughter of Elgin and Vida (Fisher) Cotton and was a life resident of Charlotte. She was a semi-retired Accountant being employed by Crandell Brothers Trucking and also H & R Block Company of Charlotte. Surviving are: Five children, Christine (Steve) Young of Twin Lakes, Cinda (Barton) Wilmore of Grand Ledge, Daniel (Kelly) Gearhart of Charlotte, Kimberly (Scott) Day of Nashville and Danette (Dennis) Carroll of Potterville; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and siblings, Elizabeth Wheaton of Lansing, Lynwood Cotton of Mason, Melvin Cotton of Florida and Patricia (Floyd) Burley of Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harvey Gearhart and brother Wallace Cotton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Vermontville.
