Shirley L. Hayter

Shirley L. (Parr) Hayter , age 81 of Charlotte, MI, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at her residence after an extended illness. Shirley was born July 28, 1928 in Charlotte, MI the daughter of Dorr and Addie (Root) Parr and had lived most of her life in the Charlotte area except for 7 years when she lived in South Carolina. She was a Graduate of Olivet High School. Surviving are: 4 daughters, Judy Roth of West Union, SC, Jean (Greg) Reber of Duluth, GA, Janet (David Ulrey) Hayter of Charlotte and Nancy (Greg) Hummel of Charlotte; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild (and 1 on the way); 2 sisters, Valdean Jaquette and Linda Brown both of Charlotte and 1 brother, Jerry Parr of Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Cecil H. Hayter, Jr in 1987. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Pastor Sarah Friesen-Carper of Peace Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 A. M. until time of services at the Funeral Home. A luncheon/reception will be held following services at the Evangel Christian Church, 1848 S. Cochran, Charlotte, MI.
