Steven Laren Lavoye
July 1, 1971 — March 12, 2023
Steven LaRen LaVoye, age 51, of Charlotte passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at his home. He was born July 1, 1971, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Max and Ramona (Davis) LaVoye. Steve grew up in Farwell and graduated from Farwell High School in 1989. Steve was a quiet soul who loved and cared for his family deeply. He was extremely intelligent and could do absouletly anything he set his mind to. Steve loved music and was a self-taught musician. He played the guitar, fiddle, drums, piano, and organ. Steve was also a talented woodworker and very proficient with electronics.
Steve is survived by his siblings: Loretta Baker of Farwell, Jeffrey (Nora Jean) LaVoye of Houghton Lake; niece, Jessica Spotts; nephews: Brad (Christin) Baker Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; and Phillip (Lindsey) Baker of Harrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Patrick Baker.
In keeping with Steve’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
